Join us at The Women’s Library Storytime on Sunday 21 August and meet Katharine Rogers, author of Cockatoo Magic.
Cockatoo Magic is a story about a girl who is brave, bold, and goes on adventures – lucky her! Katharine and Nana Sakata, the illustrator, met while working at the Sydney Opera House and have been best friends for 15 years. Cockatoo Magic came about because they wanted to write a story for Nana’s daughter. And the result is this gorgeously illustrated story about a beautiful Australian cockatoo with a hint of magic power, who helps a little girl embrace adventures.
Cynthia Ning is reading this story on Sunday, starting at 11:15am. Everyone is welcome and there will be activities for the children as well. See our Storytime page for more details.
