The Women’s Library has a large selection of new and second-hand books to choose from, all at the incredible price of $2 each, 3 for $5, or even better prices if you buy in bulk.
We have general fiction, feminist fiction, and lesbian literature; non-fiction – women’s health, politics, history – and books published by Penguin and Virago.
All purchases support the continued functioning of The Women’s Library, so please keep an eye on the lovely old book trolley outside the library – or just inside the front door when it is raining. We have more surplus books inside and men and women are welcome to browse the books for sale. The books that we sell have been generously provided by our members, or they might be titles that have been moved off the shelves to make way for something new.

Shield of Justice
One is a cop, sworn to protect and serve—one is a physician, sworn to heal. Together they become reluctant allies in the battle for justice.
Special Crimes Unit investigator Detective Sergeant Rebecca Frye is attempting to solve a series of sexual assaults and running into dead ends at every turn. Finally, she has a break in the case—a witness—one person who may help her bring a madman to justice. But the witness is a victim herself and Rebecca must convince the injured woman’s physician, Dr. Catherine Rawlings, to assist her, a task that brings each woman face-to-face with her own darkest fears.
Amidst professional conflicts and a growing mutual attraction, the two women join in the battle to trap the perpetrator before he strikes again.
